There are several signs to detect the malignant tumor and differentiate it from the benign ones but still the lab diagnosis is the only proven test to be hundred percent accurate.

The first group of symptoms is the local symptoms where the affected area will tend to swell or appear lumpy because of the abnormal growth of the tissue, there may be signs of bleeding because the abnormal growth may cause some blood vessels to rupture. If the tumor is in the abdominal area, jaundice may develop because the tumor may press on the surrounding organs, especially liver.

The second group is the spreading symptoms and it could be abbreviated in the swelling of the lymph nodes and coughing as well as hemoptaisis.

The third group is the systemic symptoms which are general to any kind of cancer such as weight loss, fatigue, loss of appetite and night sweating.

Although these symptoms are considered the general symptoms of every type of cancer or any malignant tumor, it may still interfere with the symptoms of some other diseases and at that point screening tests and pathological test are mandatory to make sure of the case.
